From his humble beginnings in Chiapas State in Mexico, Julión Álvarez set sights on pursuing a career in music. At the young age of 18, he packed his bags and chased his dream. His initial foray into the professional music scene was by joining Mexican band, "Banda MS", until 2006. Afterwards, he decided to form a band called "Julión Álvarez y Su Norteño Banda". Since then, Alvarez shone bright as a superstar with countless hit albums and singles. He is a Latin Grammy nominee for Best Banda Album, for his album El Aferrado; and his song "El Amor De Su Vida" also received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Regional Song. His album Mis Ídolos, Hoy Mis Amigos, debuted at number 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. His latest and most ambitious step is an extensive US Tour, said to be a 'historic first' for a regional Mexican artist.
